One Day Delhi to Jaipur Trip by Cab
Starting from ₹11,000
Book This TripJaipur forms India's Golden Triangle with Delhi and Agra. It is about 282 km from Delhi on NH48 — roughly five and a half hours each way — so this is a long day, but an early start leaves plenty of time to see the city's highlights.
In the old walled city you'll visit City Palace, Hawa Mahal and the Jantar Mantar observatory, followed by Birla Mandir, the Albert Hall Museum and the lakeside Jal Mahal. In the late afternoon you head up to Amber Fort, and end the day at the Surya Mandir viewpoint above Galta Ji.
Jaipur's bazaars are famous for block-printed textiles, jewellery and blue pottery, and its kitchens for dal baati churma and ghewar. The most pleasant months to visit are October to March.
What To Expect
Pickup is at about 7:00 AM, with a breakfast stop on the highway. You reach Jaipur around midday and start in the old walled city, where City Palace, Hawa Mahal and Jantar Mantar are all close together.
After lunch you'll see Birla Mandir and the Albert Hall Museum, then stop by Man Sagar Lake for Jal Mahal. Late in the afternoon the cab climbs to Amber Fort — the highlight of most Jaipur trips — before a sunset view over the city from Surya Mandir.
It's a long day, with around 11 hours of driving in total, and you'll be back in Delhi by about 11:15 PM. Comfortable clothes and a neck pillow help. If you'd prefer a slower pace, ask us to drop a few stops.

Places to Visit on Your One Day Delhi to Jaipur Trip by Car
1. City Palace
Begun by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II in the 1720s, the palace blends Rajput, Mughal and European styles around a series of courtyards and gateways. Part of it is still the royal family's home; the rest is a museum of costumes, arms and art.
2. Hawa Mahal
Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh built this five-storey 'Palace of Winds' so the women of the court could watch street life unseen. Its honeycomb of small windows keeps the rooms cool, and ramps instead of stairs lead to the top.
3. Jantar Mantar
Built by Sawai Jai Singh II between 1727 and 1734, this observatory has 19 masonry and brass instruments, including the world's largest stone sundial, which still tells the time accurately.
4. Birla Mandir
Built by the Birla family in 1988 at the foot of Moti Dungri hill, this white-marble temple is dedicated to Lakshmi Narayan and is decorated with carvings of deities and quotations from scripture.
5. Albert Hall Museum
Set in Ram Niwas Garden, this Indo-Saracenic building holds paintings, carpets, metalwork, pottery and even an Egyptian mummy. It looks especially striking when lit up at night.
6. Jal Mahal
The 'Water Palace' appears to float in the middle of Man Sagar Lake on the road to Amer. Visitors can't go inside, but the lakeside promenade is a lovely place to stop.
7. Amber Fort
This hilltop fort-palace of sandstone and marble is the highlight of many Jaipur trips. Don't miss the mirror-work of the Sheesh Mahal and the views over Maota Lake.
8. Surya Mandir (Galta Ji)
A small sun temple on the ridge above the Galta Ji temple complex, with sweeping views over Jaipur — a peaceful end to the day before the drive home.

Rajasthani food is rich and hearty. Lunch is a stop in the city centre, and your driver can suggest a clean, busy place that suits your group.
