One Day Delhi to Khatu Shyam Trip by Cab
Starting from ₹9,500
Book This TripShri Khatu Shyam Ji Mandir in Rajasthan's Sikar district is one of the most visited temples in North India. It is dedicated to Barbarik, the grandson of Bhima from the Mahabharata, who is worshipped as Shyam Baba — a form of Lord Krishna.
The temple is about 260 km from Delhi. You'll have around three hours at the temple for darshan, followed by an hour in the bazaar for prasad, offerings and souvenirs before the drive back to Delhi the same evening.
Ekadashi days, weekends and the annual Phalgun fair bring very large crowds, so darshan can take much longer. Tell us your date in the enquiry and we'll plan the day around it.
What To Expect
Pickup is at about 8:00 AM from your home or hotel in Delhi. The drive into Rajasthan takes several hours, with a stop for breakfast or tea on the way.
At Khatu you'll have around three hours for darshan. Queues move faster on ordinary weekdays and slower on Ekadashi and weekends. Phones and bags may need to be deposited, so keep valuables in the cab. If time and crowds allow, you can also visit Shyam Kund.
After darshan there's an hour for prasad and shopping in the temple bazaar, then the drive back. You'll be home by about 7:30 PM, though busy darshan days can make the return later.

Places to Visit on Your One Day Delhi to Khatu Shyam Trip by Car
1. Shri Khatu Shyam Ji Temple
The white-marble temple enshrines the head of Barbarik, who offered it to Krishna before the Kurukshetra war and was blessed to be worshipped as Shyam in the Kali Yuga. Devotees come with nishan flags, flowers and bhajans, and the temple is decorated especially beautifully on Ekadashi.
2. Shyam Kund
Shyam Kund is the sacred pond where Barbarik's head is said to have been found. Many pilgrims take a dip or sprinkle its water before darshan. You can visit if time and crowds allow.
3. Temple Bazaar
The lanes around the temple are packed with stalls selling prasad, nishan flags, photos of Shyam Baba, bangles and local snacks — a good place to pick up gifts before heading home.
Where to Eat
Khatu is a vegetarian temple town. Your driver can suggest a clean highway dhaba for breakfast, and there are simple eateries near the temple.

• Rajasthani thali with dal, kadhi and bajra roti
• Peda and other prasad sweets from the temple bazaar
